What we process
When you paste a link, sydits.fr sends it to the server to identify the media and retrieve its title, creator, thumbnail, duration, and available formats. If you start a download, the server retrieves and temporarily processes the media file. You do not need an account.
Temporary files and retention
Media previews are held in server memory for up to 15 minutes. Finished files are retained for the period displayed with your download, normally 30 minutes. An automatic cleanup runs every minute; files being actively transferred are removed after the transfer ends and cleanup runs again. Failed downloads are cleaned up after their worker stops. Files left by a server restart are removed once their retention period expires.
To reduce repeated Spotify lookup time, the server may retain a private cache of public track metadata and provider matching data. This cache is never exposed to other visitors and does not contain downloaded media.
Browser storage and security
A necessary session cookie associates download requests with your browser for up to one hour. Your cookie preference is stored locally in your browser until you clear it or change your choice. Rate-limit counters are held in memory for about one minute. When the service is behind a configured trusted proxy, these counters use the IP address forwarded by that proxy.
Third-party platforms
The selected platform and its delivery services receive network requests from the sydits.fr server. Spotify requests may also be sent to YouTube or YouTube Music for audio matching. TikTok extraction uses the TikWM service through Ez-TikTok-Downloader. Thumbnails load directly from the source’s image host in your browser. The homepage uses photography hosted by Unsplash. These providers can receive your IP address and apply their own privacy policies.
Analytics and hosting logs
sydits.fr does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The hosting provider or reverse proxy may separately retain routine access and security logs under its own retention settings. The app’s error responses do not reveal filesystem paths, downloader command output, or private configuration.
Your choices and questions
You can cancel an active download, clear this site’s browser data, or stop using the service. To ask about data handling or request assistance, use Contact & support. Avoid sharing private links, credentials, or sensitive personal information in a support request.
